What Is a Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep tissue massage therapy uses slow, firm pressure to target the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue, making it ideal for relieving chronic tension, muscle stiffness, and postural discomfort. By focusing on specific areas of tightness, this therapeutic technique helps break up adhesions (“knots”), improve mobility, and reduce persistent pain. While this massage is more intense than a relaxation massage, its aim is to fix rather than soothe, often leaving you feeling looser, more balanced, and better aligned after your session.
